Take advantage of our services. Want to trace your family history? Don’t know where to start? Then let us help to get you started on this fascinating journey of discovery. Give us the full name and location of the birth or marriage of one of your ancestors from the first half of the 1900’s and you will receive at least two birth or marriage certificates, census returns for 1901 and advice on what steps to take next.
- We will transcribe all the relevant information on the census returns that we locate for ease of reading
- We will supply copies of birth, marriage and death records that we discover
- All digital items will be printed out and supplied on a CD

We offer a flexible range of genealogy research services that can be adapted to suit your requirements. After all, no two families are the same. As well as building family trees for people we are happy to work in partnership with your own geneological research by helping out when necesary. Or you may require us to carry out a genealogical project covering one or two generations from a certain time and location, adding substance to your research. Whatever your requirements, we will do our very best to help you.
Research commissioned by the hour
We can carry out research by the hour if you so require at £20 per hour, Records are supplied at cost (£13 for each birth, death and marriage certificate requested). Simply state your research aims, budget, and provide us with a starting point.
Privacy Policy
In order to receive information or services from Easdale Island Folk Museum you will be asked to submit personal information about yourself, (e.g. name, address, email address) other personal information such as date of birth, family information may also be provided by yourself in order that genealogical research can take place.
Any such information will only be used for research, record keeping and accounting purposes. No information will be passed on to third parties, unless this is at your request in writing (for example sending a research report to a relative.) Information will be retained until such time that you request the information be removed from the records.
